| RightSize Particle technology is an antisolvent-based SCF technology that can be effectively scaled up to pharmaceutical manufacturing volumes. Full control of particle and powder properties is maintained at all production volumes.
This is achieved through a patented nozzle head with a unique spring-loaded design. The dimensions of the actual fluid mixing and spray forming regions are kept constant at all scales. This means that consistent particles are generated irrespective of the production scale. While traditional SCF technologies employ a coaxial jet nozzle, RightSize Particle technology uses a 360° nozzle head. By increasing the nozzle diameter, production batches can be increased from discovery volumes (10 mg per batch) through lab and pilot scale to > Kg batches. |
